View ShowroomATM “urban myth” resurfacing again
Every so often, one false claim or another about ATMs that has been ‘de-bunked’ long ago, pops up again.
No – entering your ATM PIN backwards will do nothing, but potentially irritate the criminal. It does not alert authorities or lock up the ATM.
Such legislation has been introduced several times in several U.S. states, but never made any real progress. Not only is it impractical and dangerous, but what do you do if the PIN is the same, backwards and forwards?
